Science and Genesis 1:1

We can look at science and say the Bible is amazingly scientific. To show you how amazing it is, in 1903 a man died by the name of Herbert Spencer--he actually died on my birthday (of course, my birthday came a long time later!). Herbert Spencer was a scientist.

He was heralded by the world, he was given all kinds of prizes as a ground-breaking scientist. His greatest achievement was categorical. It was Herbert Spencer who announced to the scientific world that everything that exists in the universe falls into five categories...one of five...time, force, action, space and matter. That's what he said and he said it in that order...time, force, action, space and matter. Nice going, Herbert.

How about this? "In the beginning," that's time, "God," that's force, "created" that's action, "the heavens," that's space, "and the earth," that's matter. Right there in the first verse.

It's all right, Herbert, you were trying to find it without that verse. Hope others won't.

Maranatha!

That's sure is great insight into Genesis 1:1, and Science has "No Excuse" for knowing the "origin" of everything according to Romans 1:20-22!!

Thanks Pastor Jordan for an AWESOME blog!

Romans 1:20-22 (King James Version)

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:(21)Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (22)Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,"

YES!

And it came to me just now to submit the following:

The 1st Day of Creation:

"The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of GOD moved upon the face of the waters." (Gen 1:2)

Then GOD spoke HIS Word into being.......

"Let there be Light"!

And "There was Light".......(Gen 1:3)

And such 'Light' was to be, and is, Eternal!

So it is that Hope is Alive!

Even though this wicked world begins and ends it's day in darkness it is good to realize that the 1st Day of Creation, although begun midst the darkness, ended in 'Light'! (Gen 1:5)

And such 'Light' was not the sun, moon or stars for they were not created until the 4th Day. (Gen 1:14-19)

GOD's Word "Let there be Light" became "The Light which enlightens every man born into the world" and was "the glory The Messiah had with Our Father before the world began".......(John 1:9, 17:5)

LIGHT Begot Light.......

LIKE Begot Like.......

The Messiah, "The Light of the world".......(Jn8:12)

The Messiah, "The beginning of The Creation of GOD".......(Rev1:1, 3:14)

The Messiah, "The Son of The Living GOD".......(John 6:69)

And Our Father, HE "created all things by(of, in and thru) The Messiah".......(Ep3:9)

The 1st Day of Creation.

"And GOD called The Light, Day, and the darkness HE called night. And the evening(darkness) and The Morning(Light) was The 1st Day." (Gen 1:5)

Now if the beginning can not be 'seen' nor understood, then what of the end?

Confusion would reign! And today confusion does reign midst the religious systems of this world, for apart from "The Light" there is only darkness, "the blind leading the blind" ;-(

"The Light" reveals that Faith will not create a religion for Faith IS Family!

And the Apostle Paul saw "The Light" that is The Messiah on the road to Damascus:

"At midday, O king, I saw in the way a Light from Heaven, which was above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

And when we had all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.

And I said, Who are you, Master? And The Messiah said, I am Y'shua(for He spoke in the Hebrew tongue) Whom you are persecuting". (Acts 26:13-15)

GOD's Word "Let there be Light" became "The Light which enlightens every man born into the world", "The Light" that is The Messiah, and was "the glory The Messiah had with Our Father before the world began".......(John 1:9, 17:5)

Peace, in spite of the dis-ease(no-peace) that is of this world and it's systems of religion "for the WHOLE(not just a portion) world is under the control of the evil one", indeed and Truth.......(1John 5:19)

Truth IS, a lie never was and is not.......

Abide in Truth.......

1. these five categories are implied virtually every day by everyone. In fact, narratives commonly, and naturally, imply all five---even fictional narratives;

2. not one of these five categories, nor all of them put together, demands life, intelligence, or a Living God. In other words, atheism, Deism, and paganism each is perfectly at home with the most blandly general idea of these five;

3. therefore, these five categories would be totally at home in a hypothethical version of reality in which there is no life, not Creator, and no life-affirming design;

4. therefore, not one of these five categories demands a universal self-evidence of life-affirming design (Romans 1:20).

..

We must not reduce the sacred things to mundane, profane things. First, we must know the sacred things, as such.

One of the Sacred things about Genesis 1:1:

1. The general, (or 'masculine') cosmos and the special (or 'feminine') Earth (Genesis 1:1).
   2. The Earth, as its own general subject, implying that which we all intuit is most valuable about the Earth unto itself in all the cosmos: its abiding maximal abundance of open liquid water (Genesis 1:2).
     3. all that water and its special relation to the Sun's light, hence the water cycle (vs. 3-10);
       4. The water cycle and its special beneficiary and member, biology (vs. 11-12);
         5. biology and its special category, animal biology (plant/animal/mineral = animal) (vs. 20-22, 24-25);
           6. Animal biology and its special category, human (vs. 26-28);
7. The general man and the special woman (Genesis 2:21-23).

It is no coincidence that there are exactly five things that Genesis 1 reports that God names, and that those five seem to be the five basic non-biological factors of Earth's water cycle:

Names 1 and 2: binary cyclically distributed thermal regulation ( v. 4-5 );
Name 3: radiologically mediative atmosphere ( vs. 6-8 );
Names 4 and 5: binary thermal surface distribution system ( vs. 9-10 )
